My Vision

I envision a system that provides smart, effective, and responsible justice – a system that protects our community and works for everyone.  In other words, a system where:

• Public safety is our most important priority;
• We work with and prosecute people as individuals;
• We treat everyone fairly and equally;
• We stay abreast of the research, including the emerging literature on neuroscience, and employ evidence-informed practices;
• We systematically assess and address offenders’ criminogenic needs, rather than just their actions;
• We maximize limited public resources; and
